Project Engineer
Kalimantan Barat, Sumatera Selatan
Responsibilities:
Project planning and implementation
- Prioritize projects from importance and urgency
- Define economic feasibility (payback, rate of return, etc)
- Define detailed scope and action plan
- Identify critical paths of project
- Ensure project is carried out as per scope and meets the timeline
Engineering
- Perform/Verify basic engineering and designs through calculations and rationalizations
- For Engineering Outsourcing: This shall be coordinated by Chief Engineer or Director of Milling
Procurement
- Coordinate with group procurement to solicit for quotations, as per CTP procedure
- Follow up on PO preparation by site procurement team and/or prepare the contract as per standard contract templates
- Follow up on delivery and custom clearance issues
Budgeting
- Estimate project costs through history of old jobs, quotations from suppliers, take off of the job, percentage of capital cost, crew size and time allotment, etc.
- Budget management
- Verify and keep track of account through updates
- Monthly planning on budget to reflect completed phases and to integrate future works
- Account reporting and management
- Monitor and verify accounting works and the updating activities, to ensure accuracy
Quality control
- Supervise and ensure that work carried out by contractors are done as per correct specifications and drawing: civil, mechanical and electrical.
- Make contractors accountable for poor quality work and ensure rework is carried out on time and properly
Health and Safety
- Enforce and implement Cargill’s Contractor Safety Management policies and procedures:
- Permit system, PPE, PJHA, toolbox meetings, monthly progress meeting, safety training, worksite inspection and enforcement
- Incident reporting
- Uphold US FCPA and guiding principles
Legal
- Fully understand the contract terms and conditions (as per Cargill standards) and implement proper document management system
- Fact based observations to be performed continuously, and issue site project memos as required
- Meetings, Dispute Resolution & Document management
- Conduct orientation meetings and regular meetings
- Resolves dispute according to contractual terms and conditions
- Implement and maintain high document management standard for all records and data (site log, inspection, communication memos, photos, technical specifications, procedures, etc.)
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputable University with minimum GPA of 3.00
- Knowledge “areas”:
- Mechanical equipment, especially related to palm oil mill operations
- Engineering knowledge – unit operations and transport processes, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
- Supervision and management
- Budget preparation
- Cost control
- Accounting / Management Reporting comprehension
- Local government relations: Understand the procedures related to customs and custom clearance, taxes and duties, permits (Depnaker, Pemda/Bupati), etc.
- Min. 10 years working experience in a manufacturing environment, with the last 5 years in a supervisory capacity
- Willing to be flexible located either in South Sumatera or West Kalimantan
- Good financial skills and analysis (budgeting process)
- Proven leadership skills and strong commitment towards career
- Honest and disciplined
- Computer literate
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with good safety standard, knowledge of ISO standards and in maintenance scheduling are added advantages.
Transport Safety Coordinator
Sumatera Selatan - Sungai Lilin
Responsibilities:
- To lead development and implementation of core management programs for the location.
- Monitor that programs are in place to ensure all company / contractor fleets, drivers & operators are in compliance with all government laws, regulations and license requirements and measure compliance with government and corporate standard.
- Defining Fleet risks and manages loss control.
- Carrying out fleet safety comprehensive analysis.
- Ensuring that fleet safety is part of program assurance management systems are established implemented and maintained in accordance with the CEHS/External Certification Requirements and local laws and regulations.
- Ensuring entire management team understands TOA fleet safety policy and its part of program assurance management systems aspects of every type of operation.
- Monitoring all contractor activity in relation to accidents and incidents of non-compliance.
- Working with PA Mgr/ Fleet Safety Mgr to reviewing and update TOA fleet safety policy document when required and up-to-date with CEHS policy and procedures.
- Vehicle incident reporting requirements,
- Ensure all vehicle incidents are reported as per SOP.
- Assist local management in investigation process to prepare high quality report.
- Ensure operators and drivers are having required internal and external licenses as per policy.
- Ensure drug & alcohol requirements are implemented as per the fleet safety policy.
- Coordinate through OU managers to ensure that worker transport requirements are implemented across Hindoli operating units. Validate the implementation via site inspections.
- Implement modified BBS programs as per the policy; train the local management on modified BBS programs and ensure they are implemented accordingly.
- Remind the local management periodically and ensure awareness programs, campaigns are conducted on quarterly basis.
- Ensure rewards & disciplinary programs are implemented properly across all operating units.
- Working with site workshop Mgr/ Supervisor to ensure fleet maintenance programs, Technical inspections, daily pre-use inspections & safety inspections are properly conducted by line management by doing audits and verifications.
- Ensure all Hindoli fleets are having proper legal documents (like STNK, KIR, etc) as per policy.
- Ensure safety committee meeting and ERT established, and to facilitate coordination between them.
- Coordinate with estates and ensure hazard mapping (bridges, culverts, etc) is carried out for each estate and socialized to all operators and drivers.
- Ensure compliance monitoring programs (speed gun monitoring, Road block, c-track) are properly done at each locations as per policy.
- Ensure locations are in compliance with fatigue management requirements.
- Ensure the estates are doing inspections for bridges and culverts as per policy.
- Assist line managers to conduct traffic signs assessment for Hindoli roads and ensure signs are posted accordingly.
- Communications, Records and Reporting roles:
- Reporting to PA Manager on the fleet safety performance for review, including recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure fleet safety performance report prepared (Include all key aspects from fleet safety policy) and submitted on time and complied with corporate standard as required.
- Prepare Fleet Safety EHS Information sheet as needed
- Undertake, and whenever applicable, lead auditing and compliance follow-up.
- Working with PA Mgr/ Fleet Safety Manager to conduct Fleet Safety audit as per schedule.
- Under the H & S manager leadership, to be the location representative in fleet safety matters as needed both internally and externally.
Requirements:
- Min. University Degree with mechanical bacground or having fleet/ Occupational Health and Safety experience is priority.
- Strong in both Bahasa and english skill (writing, speaking and translation)
- Computer literate, especially MS Office
- Having good communication and leadership skill
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Readiness to travel/ roll in each Hindoli locations
- Having good analytical problem solving and decision making
- Self directed: able to understand the role of the job and be successful without high levels of direct supervision
- Ability to communicate to all level of stakeholders
- Ability and strong desire to implement, execute and follow-up a program
- Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment
- Organizational guidance, training and support from corporate, PAM, GPAM and site management
